Meet the Coach
Alex Leonard, PTA, CSCS
Alex is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) focused on endurance and extreme sports athletes. He earned his degree in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 2013 and has since been involved in the rehabilitative industry. Prior to earning his CSCS credentials, Alex spent many years working in rehab hospitals and physical therapy clinics, developing a deeper understanding of the human body. In 2018, he obtained his license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
From a physical therapy perspective, Alex noticed that most endurance and action sports athletes lacked proper strengthening and mobility in key areas. These weaknesses, along with improved technique, can decrease injury risk while significantly improving performance - and that is the value Alex wants to bring to his athletes.
Aside from human performance, Alex’s passions include motocross, enduro, mountian biking, trail running, paddling, and climbing. Every year, Alex competes in the Texas Water Safari – a 260 mile canoe race from San Marcos to Seadrift. In 2018, he and his partner won the Novice class (first timers) and were the first to cross the finish line with an aluminum canoe. A few months later, he competed in the 12 Hours of Horseshoe Hell, an annual climbing competition held in Jasper, AR, placing 2nd in the Intermediate division with his partner. Since then, Alex has accumulated various accolades in both of these events, along with many others in the realm of Off Road
In years to come, Alex wants to keep his focus on action sports ans well as ultra-endurance events and help others achieve a sustainable athletic lifestyle along the way.

We will hold you accountable for performing your program and providing feedback. Think of it as a factory experience - you don’t have to think about what to do - just do it!

–Connect. Sport is community. Trails and rivers aren’t the tools we use to make our bodies stronger – they are the places where friendships grow and memories collect. Let that be your driving factor.
–All-inclusive. We may not practice the same sport, but we embrace the same mentality. We’re in it for the fun, the fitness, and the competition – no matter what class we compete in. Let’s welcome new people into our sports and guide them along the way. You’ve had a mentor or two, now become one.
